How can we help?

Veterinary professionals and owners recognise the benefits of conservative management options in some common canine conditions.

Every dog is an individual so treatment plans will vary. The Veterinary surgeon who refers the case give their diagnosis and then the physiotherapist conducts an individual assessment to establish what the main issues are and how we can address them.

Treatment may include hands on techniques, active exercises, neurological facilitation techniques, electrotherapy and strengthening techniques.

Most sessions include guidance on handling and home management which enable you to support your dogs management and recovery. Often, similar to, the human field appropriate home exercises are advised to build up function, strength, flexibility and overall fitness.

We value all members of the team and will communicate as appropriate with your vet to give feedback on progress.

What people are saying

I can not begin to express the magnitude or impact that going to Canine Rehab Cardiff had on our lives. I can just say the team were integral in enabling Monty to have a whole year longer with me.

Denise has got so much expertise and years of experience that I just trusted everything she said. Juno was anxious to begin being nervous of clinics but she was made so welcome with toys and treats and going at a pace that suited her.

With hydrotherapy and physiotherapy we got all his muscle back and the crepitus gone. I can highly recommend hydrotherapy for helping with dogs with arthritis and joint problems as it helps build up muscle strength which in turn supports the bones and joints.
