Hydrotherapy is a proven and established method of treatment for dogs. The process of using an underwater treadmill can be hugely beneficial as it allows good aerobic exercise with buoyancy supporting their joints and body weight.

Denise is an experienced and skilled chartered physiotherapist qualified in human and veterinary physiotherapy.
She leads a small team of staff who will work with you and your vet to design and deliver a programme of rehabilitation which addresses your dogs individual needs.
CRC receive referrals from a broad catchment area so if you are willing to travel to us then feel free to get in touch.

Every dog is an individual so treatment plans will vary. The Veterinary surgeon who refers the case give their diagnosis and then the physiotherapist conducts an individual assessment to establish what the main issues are and how we can address them.
Treatment may include hands on techniques, active exercises, neurological facilitation techniques, electrotherapy and strengthening techniques.
Most sessions include guidance on handling and home management which enable you to support your dogs management and recovery. Often, similar to, the human field appropriate home exercises are advised to build up function, strength, flexibility and overall fitness.
We value all members of the team and will communicate as appropriate with your vet to give feedback on progress.
